Not much in the way of news, but my busy season is over and I should be able to get a little writing done. Made a bit of progress on Straight Outta Coxville, but not much. Been brainstorming ideas for Jane Stalwart and the Lost World and I'm looking forward to getting started with it.

It won't. This story will have, dinosaurs, Tuskegee airmen, Nazis, amazons, Neanderthals, serpentmen, and a jungle girl.

ReplyDeletePotentially stupid question: would there be any way to counteract or eliminate the Curse from Coxville? Competing magic or another religious blessing?
Never gave it any thought. I suppose if a story idea came to me that allowed someone to escape the curse, it might happen, but no plans.

DeleteI could, for instance, see a situation where a paranormal investigator (single or a married couple) get invested in trying to remove the Curse from the town.

I would love for there to be a reason for Jane not to have sex all the time - perhaps she has learn she's cursed somehow and that if she has too much sex she's going to be the Pharaoh's willing consort or something.
ReplyDeleteThe stories are best when the girl is hesitant, reluctant or even a bit annoyed (but never scared or not enjoying herself)
